Well folks not long home but safe and sound. I want to thank everybody that attended our 29 th international treffen in drumshanbo and everybody that lent a hand no matter how small to bring off a fabulous treffen. Special thanks goes without saying to Dermot Smith our treffen co-ordinatior who pulled out all the stops to make sure everything was 110% and his wife Eileen for being deserted for most of the year. Feedback was very positive and I think everybody went away happy. So this years treffen is over and I for one am looking forward to 2014 in Wexford. So go on, get a new piggy bank and start filling it because before you know it it will be that time of the year again. Safe travelling to all going to Kelso and Luxembourg and see you all in wexford for our 30th birthday celebrations. Regards Liam

To be motor cycle Marshal you need a certain type of person, focused, trained (killer) but most important you need to dress for the occasion!

We arrived back safe and sound, Giggling still at the stories, the jokes, the carrying on and most of all overwhelmed by the support and good wishes we both had the honour of experiencing from our Winger buddies.  It was better than any rehab or months of treatments.  Thank you all so much from the bottoms of our hearts.  See you all at the AGM and back on the bike in 2014 for the 30th Birthday Bash in Wexford.  :applause: Special thanks of course to Dermot and Eileen for putting on a fantastic treffen.

Well done to all the lads that made our Treffen a First Class event. http://www.goldwingriders.co.uk/images/emoticons/MSNHeaven-Com(Animated)062.gif

Their enthusiasm to ensure we all enjoyed ourselves was well noted and their tireless efforts, I'm sure, were well appreciated by all of us.

I sincerely hope that everyone who reads this Topic, will post a reply, if only to thank our lads who gave them a GREAT WEEKEND

Oh yeah, don't forget the pics http://www.goldwingriders.co.uk/images/emoticons/1959.gif

This one reminds me of our first Treffen back in 1984. camping on the lawn of a hotel, looking out over a watery landscape.

Hi Members and Friends,

I hope you all arrived home safely and happy from Drumshanbo. By attending the Treffen you made it the success it was. I would like to thank Liam and the Monday gang and thoese who arrived early and rolled their sleeves up to get the job done, again well done. The NorthWest Guys and Dolls, Norman as Tour Leader, Eamonn, The Garda and the Marshaling crew who did a fantastic job and safely executed. To Eddie and Catherine, Frank and Margaret for their support. Dermot King & Son well done boys, our Photographers Vincent & Catherine great stuff, cant wait to see the results. Bernard who abandoned his beloved 1800 in favour of a Transit & Trailer again thank you, John & Ciaran ect for the organisation of the camping. The Lough Allen Hotel, AnnMarie, Niall and staff to say the deserved a special mention would be a injustice to their efforts and service. Lets say they have hugh fans and friends in the GWOCI. The Committee, Marian & Kevin for there help and direction Thank you. It would be impossible to thank everyone individually and I apologize to thoese I may have missed. So now get your plans in place for our 30th and we will have another great Treffen.

Best Regards,

Dermott & Eileen.

EX Treffen Co-ordinators.
